My Story
Growing up, I was the kid who competed at everything. I played every sport I could, and all my free time was consumed with playing sports, practicing sports, and watching sports. As I went through junior high and high school, I became fascinated with how athletes train and how they recover from injuries. As a junior in high school, I suffered a torn labrum in my shoulder while playing football, which ultimately guided me down the path of physical and sports medicine.
I continued playing basketball at the collegiate level at Ripon College in Wisconsin, while also studying Chemistry-Biology on a Pre-Med track. The medical field excited me, but sports medicine and athletics were my passion. Throughout my time as an undergraduate student athlete, I was exposed to numerous different aspects of strength training, performance training, injury rehabilitation, and other disciplines within healthcare. Despite my fascination with medicine, I realized that I could never fully remove myself from the thing that made me the happiest: the gym. I love working out, and I love setting and reaching new goals in the gym.
However, as I navigated through my education, I realized that my profession, and those that are like mine, do not adequately prepare students to treat patients like the way I had envisioned. To take matters into my own hands, I decided to pursue certifications in the strength and conditioning field to bolster my knowledge of exercise, strength training, and performance training. However, I still felt lost as a chiropractic student on how to treat my future patients most ethically and effectively. Through a lot of time spent challenging my preconceived thoughts and biases about chiropractic care and rehabilitation, talking with other practitioners, and reading copious amounts of research, my perspective on how to treat individuals as a “Chiropractor” began to change:
I learned that “asymmetries” are actually quite prevalent and not necessarily an indication of current or future musculoskeletal problems.
I learned that there is often a poor correlation between pain and pathoanatomical models.
I learned that most healthcare providers do not know how to properly prescribe, dose, or modify exercises as a treatment for pain.
And I learned how impactful my words as a healthcare provider can have on a patient’s outcome.
These realizations ultimately led me to open my own clinic post-graduation. I had a distinct vision about how I felt individuals deserved to be treated, and it didn’t coincide with the “typical way of doing things.” I wanted to build a chiropractic clinic around movement, exercise, strength and conditioning, and patient empowerment.
Why Resilient?
I want people to feel more confident, stronger, and more resilient than ever before. Our clinic is built on promoting self-efficacy and promoting the importance of an active lifestyle. Too often, people search for the most minuet fixes for their pain, when the easiest change is right in front of them.
Roughly 46% of adults do not meet the recommended physical activity guidelines, which are at least 150 minutes per week of aerobic activity of moderate intensity and 2 days of lifting weights or other muscular strengthening activities. Often times people are told that they should avoid these activities altogether due to pain or injuries, or they have been told they are too fragile, or they do not have the confidence or the right environment to do so. The traditional healthcare model fails to address these issues.
As a clinician and a strength and conditioning coach, I aim to do more than just treat your musculoskeletal pain. I aim to empower you. My only goal is to get you back to doing the things you love to do, then help you perform even better at them.

My Story
At the age of 16, volleyball was not just a hobby but the focal point of my life. As a member of the high school varsity team and an active participant in club volleyball, my weekends were devoted to different gyms and sports complexes, and my after-school routine revolved around intense three-hour volleyball practices. However, one weekend tournament took an unexpected turn. On the second play of the game, I landed awkwardly on my ankle, immediately collapsing in pain. I was carried off the court, handed a pair of crutches, and informed that my season had come to an abrupt end. Disheartened, I found myself watching my teammates from the sidelines when a friend approached with a suggestion: "You should really go see my chiropractor. He's like a magic doctor and can totally fix your ankle."
Though initially skeptical, as I associated chiropractors primarily with back issues, my desire to resume playing led me to give it a try. This decision became the turning point in my life, the moment I realized my calling as a chiropractor. Entering the chiropractor's office on crutches, I emerged not only walking but also able to play within two days. Astonished by the results, I returned to his office with burning curiosity—why hadn't my trainer or doctor mentioned chiropractic as an option?
In that pivotal conversation, the chiropractor unraveled the foundational principles of the body and its inherent healing capacity. It all not only made perfect sense but also ignited a profound passion within me. This experience marked the beginning of my journey towards becoming a chiropractor, driven by the desire to provide others with natural, hands-on, and exercise-based care that had reshaped my own life. I embarked on this path by completing my undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the National University of Health Sciences. Subsequently, I successfully attained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the same institution.
Why Resilient?
Specializing in the treatment of sports-related injuries, my practice is dedicated to serving competitive athletes, active individuals, and female youth athletes. I’m passionate about working with young athletes to support injury recovery, strength training, and sport-specific development. This focus stems from my own experience—I wish I had started in the gym earlier to build healthy habits, confidence, and a strong foundation for long-term success. I aim to help youth athletes improve their form, develop strength, and cultivate a positive relationship with fitness that enhances both their performance and overall well-being. My mission is to empower them to approach training and competition with confidence, resilience, and a sustainable mindset.

My Story
I've had quite the journey from my athletic endeavors to my professional pursuits in health and wellness. My background in sports, particularly track, CrossFit, and olympic Weightlifting, instilled in me the values of discipline and exercise, which have guided my path towards a career focused on physical health.
My collegiate years at Stevens Institute of Technology not only provided me with a foundation in engineering but also allowed me to continue my passion for track, specializing in pole vaulting. Following my track career, I transitioned to Olympic Weightlifting, where I achieved success at the national level, earning gold and silver medals in 2018. After my competitive weightlifting career, I redirected my focus towards overall health and fitness, finding a new avenue in CrossFit, where I most recently competed in the 2024 Quarterfinals. I have truly enjoyed the transition to CrossFit training and working on my weaknesses in the world of functional fitness.
In my professional life, I hold a doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from the National University of Health Sciences, where I received comprehensive training in the management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. My certifications and training in various techniques, such as the McKenzie Method, Webster Technique, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), and Motion Palpation, reflect my commitment to providing comprehensive care to my patients. Furthermore, my background as a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach not only underscores my expertise in the field of sports performance but also my ability to coach and mentor others in achieving their fitness goals.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy spending quality time with my fiancée, Kennedi, and our dog, Lucy, as well as indulging in hobbies like cooking, pickleball and golf. I believe a holistic approach to life is important, and I strive to maintain a balance between my career, fitness, and personal interests.

My Story
As a competitive athlete for most of my childhood and into high school, I developed a passion for fitness and healthcare. I participated in several sports including gymnastics, track and field, and more recently, powerlifting. After a devastating injury in gymnastics, I was recommended to see a sports Chiropractor, who worked with various health care professionals. The clinic environment was extremely positive, and I saw firsthand the passion that Chiropractic physicians have for helping people change their life through exercise and rehabilitation.
Following this injury, I found my love for powerlifting and competed in my first meet at the age of 15. I fell in love with seeing gym progress and creating healthy habits. I became a personal trainer in 2019 to guide, educate, and empower others on their unique paths to wellness. From general weight loss to world-class powerlifters, I take a holistic lifestyle approach, like the model of Resilient Spine and Performance.
The experiences I have as a personal trainer, powerlifting coach, and rehab assistant have helped me develop my future career ambitions. I enrolled at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL in 2021 to pursue a BS in Sport and Exercise Science with a Pre-Chiropractic emphasis. Following the completion of this degree, I aspire to become a Chiropractor and attend National University of Health Sciences.
When I’m not at the gym, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, or being outdoors.
